    Description

    This is an extremely nice 1853 1/2 cent. Only 129,694 minted.  The coin is red and brown.  I don’t know whether it’s XF, AU, or unc.  It’s possible it was cleaned years ago, but I don’t know how to tell.
    It has been in this coin holder since the 1960s, as far as I can tell (it was in my family).
