1857 Much better date Half cent, NGC MS62 BN.  The final year of issue for the entire denomination, minted only to the extent of 35,180 coins (total face value of a mere 5.90).  A very pleasing coin with soft, satiny luster, pretty, very slightly mottled brown color with delicate undertones of red, and just the faintest hint of blue iridescence over all.  Though the 1857 Large cent may get more attention, the 1857 Half cent is much tougher to locate, especially nice like this!
