    Description

    Gorgeous HAND MADE primitive rug!
    Up for sale this lovely hand-made primitive hooked rug.
    Measures about 19½" x 39½".
    Shows a group of two friends: a kind of happy Teddy Bear and a bird on a branch, side by side.
    It probably dates back to the 1950s.
    This rug looks used but in good condition. It seems a bit more faded on surface than underneath. Colors and detail are crisper on the reverse side, as always.
    I noticed brown stains on the right part, in the blue. I don't know if it is dirt or something tought to remove. I did not attempt any cleaning or test.
    Made the "old fashion way", using a jute sack as the base. They used colored tatters from recycled clothing.
    Nice as an everyday rug or I have seen people hanging them on the wall as a folk art piece.
    ESTATE FIND from an attic, from rural Quebec, Canada.
    Not cleaned by me, cleaning history unknown. Does not smell bad, and  does not smell cigarette.
