Wow! This is a stunning piece of Ruby flash in great condition. The flash on this has only a few TINY clears spots. The script on this is well done. The Soldiers home in Dayton started post civil war to house local solidiers of the GAR. It was a spectacle in its day, and a tourist destination. It is now the Dayton VA. This vase is about 6.25" tall and in great shape, besides for the few little spots where the flash is damaged. This piece probably dates from the turn of the century.
