DescriptionDendritic Salt
Dendritic Salt is a fine, high-purity salt that is created in porous, modified cubes in the shape of a star. Low bulk density, rapid dissolving rate, remarkable flow characteristics, powerful blend ability, unequalled liquid adsorption, and a quick, salty feeling are all results of its unique and diversified physical qualities.
Because Dendritic Salt has a larger surface area than other salts, it absorbs aroma (or essential oil) and color better.
Uses:
Dendritic Salt can be added to sea salt formulations to aid with non-clumping and high absorption. One-part Dendritic Salt to ten parts Sea Salt (coarse or extra coarse if desired) is a good ratio, but you may use 100 percent Dendritic salt in your recipes if you want.
Why do we use it in formulations?
Dendritic Salt is used in bath salt formulations to prevent them from hardening into rock hard bath bricks over time. Dendritic Salt (or comparable products, such as Natrasorb) is vital in the formulation of bath salts and other free-flowing bath powder formulations, in my opinion.
Tips, Tricks, and Quirks
Dendritic Salt is a bit of a mystery for bath salts manufacturers because the INCI for it is "sodium chloride," much like table salt. The ingredient list won't indicate its presence, but it's performing a critical function!
