    Malaya Garnet Bright Open Pink Color Shifting USA Precision Cut Unique Cushion Shape 1.65ct 7.4 x 5.4mm
    I had cut this on a while back for a project and ended up going another direction, so this one is hitting the market! Really a great example of a high quality open color pink garnet. I'm fairly certain this one is from Mahenge, but it's been a while since I cut it so we will just say it is from Tanzania to be safe. Color is fantastic on this one, nice open color with great performance. It color shifts in different lighting as well, but this is hard to capture on camera. I only find one inclusion when looking closely and only under magnification, eye clean for certain. The cut is a slightly modified version of Arya Akhavan's Aperture Science design. I've seen a lot of commercial cut stones mimic this design and not do it justice, so I want to set the record straight. Overall a nice stone with great size worthy of whatever jewelry you can think of for it.
