    Description

    Unusual figure of a ram's head.  The head is wood but the face is wrapped in cloth that resembles that found in Senegal.  The powerful horns are beautifully carved and dominate the piece.  From what appears to be a bridle, hangs strips of twisted colored string and thin strips of cloth. The head is perched on a natural wood stick which, in turn, is mounted onto a wooden display base.
    Note there is no evidence, other than the fabric, to conclusively demonstrates that the piece is from Senegal.  What is known is that is African.
    The head measures 26" high, 9" across and 11.5" deep.
